Sebastião Vasconcelos | 30 yo | from Lisbon

He has a degree in Economics, but realized that it wasn't what he wanted for his future. So, in 2012, without any training in the area, he did an internship in the kitchen of the Hotel Tivoli Lisboa and realized that cooking was a passion and a vocation.

He enrolled at the Lisbon School of Hospitality and Tourism on the Culinary Arts course, then did an internship at the Epic Sana Lisboa Hotel, where he was invited to stay. The following year, he decided to abandon hotels and focus on restaurants, his first experience being at Chef Vítor Claro's restaurant in the Ribeira Market.

This was followed by Substância Restaurant, where he stayed for a year and a half, before taking on the challenge of Mesa do Bairro Restaurant as a cook. A year later, he was given the opportunity to lead the kitchen and have his first experience as a Chef. Six years later, he is currently working in the same restaurant.
