David Proença | 32 yo | from Lisbon
He attended the Cookery and Pastry Course of the Association of Professional Cooks of Portugal.
His professional career began in 2013 in renowned restaurants such as the Bica do Sapato Restaurant and the Ritz Four Seasons Hotel, both in Lisbon. He later joined the opening team at the InterContinental Hotel in Estoril with Chef Jorge Fernandes.
In 2016, he left the city for the countryside and began his adventure in the Alentejo, as head chef at Herdade da Matinha (Cercal do Alentejo) and later as Sous-Chef at the Alentejo Marmoris Hotel in Vila Viçosa.
He opened his own restaurant, Afeto Restaurant, in Santiago do Cacém and, in 2022, embraced the challenge of opening the new Sines Sea View Hotel as Executive Chef, a position he currently holds.
