Although Sagres remains a very local and authentic place, over the last years we have been welcoming people from all over the world who have fallen for the stunning wildness and undisturbed nature that makes the atmosphere and lifestyle of this corner of the world so special.
Michaël, originally from The Netherlands, fell in love with Sagres the first time he visited in 2008. Passionate about the the wild beaches, the woods and the spiritual ambiance of this place, he’s been diving into working with mind and body, helping people become more awake, healthy and reconnected with nature and with themselves.
Charlotte is from The Netherlands and Gabriel is from Brazil, but the beaches of Sagres brought them together. They both enjoy the slow pace of life of this region, and the opportunity of having time to live a balanced life, combining time surfing on unspoiled beaches, and the art work they have both been developing.
Giulia & Simone are both from Milan though completely fell in love with the rugged beauty, wildness and simplicity of Sagres. They own Mum’s Restaurant - a slow food, vegetarian and fish restaurant in the center of the village. With a big focus on sustainability, they buy local organic ingredients full of flavor for their dishes and cocktails as well as the occasional forage for the wild rosemary and other herbs.
The Dostal family lives in Prague and visited Sagres for the first time 10 years ago, at that time as a family of 3 with their first born son. They were looking for a quiet place on the coast, where they could enjoy nature, good food and friendly local people, combined with a modern design hotel. We are happy that they found us on their hunt for a nice place to stay, and that they keep coming back every year, twice a year, now as a family of 6. Our staff are always happy to see them come back and their children are treated as part of our family.
